THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Garrett's Corner Market Restaurant Review:
Owner Tucker Graves is an urban pioneer, a thirty-something entrepreneur banking on the resurgence of the River Market. His 5,000-square-foot space houses an eclectic restaurant, a small grocery store and a 450-bottle wine shop. Soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas and desserts are all available. Fixings for the Reuben are heaped on homemade marbled rye and the French dip comes with a nice au jus and powerful horseradish sauce. Dinner time appetizers are jumbo-sized, including sun-dried tomato tapenade and goat cheese bruschetta and shrimp cocktails. They handle steaks as ably as the steakhouses do, pairing them with rich mashed potatoes. The Cosmopolitans are dynamite and bottles of wine purchased in the shop can be opened with dinner for a $10 corkage fee.
