: Oldtown Salinas continues its renaissance with this restaurant, one of several eateries in the 201 Main complex. Elegantly decorated Giorgio’s is located in the century-old Wells Fargo Bank. Starting with the artisan cocktails and the fresh, warm, house-baked bread, the eatery's attention to detail is evident. We enjoy the vegetarian pizza with its roasted tomato sauce and feel virtuous contentment lunching on the under-500 calorie meals. Seasonal butternut squash pasta finished with walnuts and brown butter sage also satisfies. The dessert menu changes frequently, but the mainstay tiramisu is moist, light and flavorful. The place is particular about its coffee and it shows. Service is earnest and friendly, and the patio features fire pits, heaters and a huge marble waterfall. |
