THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED GK Bistronomie Restaurant Review:

If you stumble upon Wynwood's best-kept secret, be sure to arrive hungry. The first Peruvian-inspired restaurant to arrive in Miami's Arts District is just as colorful as its surroundings. Start with a handcrafted libation at the six-seat warehouse-style outdoor bar. Conceptualized by one of Peru’s top barkeeps, Jossímar Luján, it offers an array of concoctions, such as the Queen Mayra with Absolut Pear, passion fruit, celery, Ylang Ylang, and torched cinnamon with dandelion oil. A graffiti depiction of an octopus on the restaurant's back wall inspires cravings for the multi-tentacled sea creature. Go with the octopus terrine tiradito with aged balsamic vinegar, piquillo peppers, chives, garlic and olives, or grilled Mediterranean octopus with sun-dried tomatoes, Botija olives and fingerling potatoes. Chef-partner Rafael Perez (formerly of Little Palm Island & Resort in the Keys) has taken local and global flavors and ingredients and incorporated them with classic Peruvian cooking, but with a twist. Key West pink shrimp are cherrywood smoked and turned into ceviche with a mélange of citrus, and finished with green plantains and popcorn. Hudson Valley foie gras empanadas pair with a Campari onion marmalade, while grouper tiradito swims in a zesty yet milky rocoto Parmesan cream sauce. Entrées are full flavored as well, specifically the braised lamb shank, doused in a aji amarillo Moonshine sauce. Choose from black grouper, mahi mahi, green plantain-crusted salmon, pan-seared scallops, sous-vide lobster, pork belly confit, and garlic-basted Angus rib-eye, too. If you want a more traditional Peruvian approach, there are ceviche and tiradito options that keep it authentic.
