Gordon's puts out some fantastic food and whips up signature cocktails that will make you swoon. These days, the menu has been retooled to appeal to a more cost-conscious diner. Nothing on the down home menu is above $14 and includes such hearty plates as cornflake fried chicken with biscuits or succulent grilled pork tenderloin with long cooked collard greens. The pricier uptown menu boasts more sophisticated dishes like grilled black mission fig bruschetta.

THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Gordon's House of Fine Eats Restaurant Review:
Gordons came of age in the boom time of the multi-media gulch. Droves of hip, beautiful, stylish locals from the nearby Mission to the swankier Marina crowded inside the roomy industrial-chic restaurant and lined up three-deep at the bar. Gordons still puts out some fantastic food and whips up signature cocktails that will make you swoon. These days, the menu has been retooled to appeal to a more cost-conscious diner. Instead of the former four-part menu divided into healthy, comfort, local, and international luxury, the new menu has two sections: down home and uptown. Nothing on the down home menu is above $14 and includes such hearty plates as cornflake fried chicken with biscuits or succulent grilled pork tenderloin with long-cooked collard greens. The pricier uptown menu boasts more sophisticated dishes like grilled black mission fig bruschetta and a bone-in rib-eye with skinny thyme fries. The lamb two ways plate arrives with perfectly cooked lamb medallions and a meltingly tender shank as well as crispy eggplant and refreshing yogurt covered cucumbers.
