Whether you call this a carry-out spot or a restaurant is really a moot point: what you get here is chef Snypa’s Trinidadian eats, passed over the counter in disposable containers. The space itself holds a collection of Formica tables and chairs, a soda machine, and some posters of Trinidad. Island music and yellow, green and red colors perk up the walls. Not all is Caribbean cooking, however; you can drop by on the way to work and order up a full American breakfast. But since such fare is commonplace, why not stop in for dinner on the commute home, and take away the chef’s jerk chicken, brown stew chicken, or oxtail curry. If you are lucky, he may have some curry goat in the cook-pot.
