Great Nepalese Restaurant Review:
This friendly restaurant is a family business, owned and hosted by Gopal P Manandhar and his sons. Like the décor, which emphasises the Gurkha connection, and the chef, they are Nepalese, so although conventional curry-house dishes are offered, discriminating regulars choose that country’s cuisine. Kalezo ra chyau is thinly sliced chicken liver with mushroom and onions; its subtle spicing is a reminder that Nepal borders both China and India. Other starters include momo, Nepalese ravioli and black lentil pancakes. Dumba (mutton curry) is the signature main dish, and there are a dozen vegetarian options. Good set menu options range from £32 for two to £60 for four.
