This Mediterranean-style venue targets locally sourced farm-to-table and sea-to-table ingredients under the guidance of New York City celebrity chef Marc Murphy. As with any upmarket casino spot, the interior is well-planned and stylish, a calming oasis amid the noise around it. Intended to evoke a Mediterranean seaside village, the space presents a sun-bleached boardwalk that guides guests into the restaurant where they find a round zinc bar. Rosemary planters, preserved lemons, spice jars, olive oil, wine and firewood for the grills are scattered throughout. Craft beers and a select cellar of Mediterranean wines share the menu with signature entrées such as spinach ricotta gnocchi with brown butter and sage, and wood-grilled Gulf shrimp spiedini with charred lemon and scallion. A rare dessert selection not likely to be found anywhere else in the Tampa Bay area offers grilled pineapple with mascarpone cheese, Moroccan honey and pistachios.
