The name says it all. Grilled fish. It’s simple, satisfying and, above all, easy. The loud cavernous room may look like it gets by on youthful looks alone, but the secret---that this is Boston’s most accessible seafood restaurant---has been out for years. We’re amazed no one hit on the idea before. Grillfish doesn’t do much to their product, they don’t charge much (it’s one of Boston’s most affordable seafood spots) and they don’t put on any fancy airs. What you see is very much what you get, which is fresh fish, simply served and generally well-cooked. Steamed mussels and clams come with a choice of white-wine garlic broth or a spicy tomato-garlic sauce. Daily catches like sea bass, mahi mahi and salmon arrive with either a sweet onion or a creamy tomato-garlic sauce. Meaty, lobster-like monkfish is thoughtfully cloaked with a slightly sweet Marsala sauce. You get the idea.
