The Grove Grill Restaurant Review:
Known among locals as a place to seal the deal and rub elbows with business types, The Grove Grill also plays host to casual family dinners. There’s a nice balance between the white tablecloth service and the laidback vibe. Calm lighting and wooden tables lend the place a comfortable feel. Chef Jeffrey Dunham’s reliable menu ranges from Southern specialties, such as low country shrimp and grits and the crab cakes with black-eyed pea ragoût, to raw bar plates such as the chilled seafood sampler with oysters, shrimp and smoked salmon. Of course, don't forget the beloved Grove Burger, a wood-grilled number with the usual toppings. Vegetable sides are seasonal and often made with locally sourced produce. Try multiple desserts with the sampler (Key lime pie, flourless chocolate cake, crème brûlée). While the wine list isn't especially exciting, many selections are available by the glass and there’s a nice array of dessert wines.
