THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Guido's Restaurant Review:
This restaurant dates back to the days when fondue was de rigeur on any ski holiday. Today, its the only restaurant in town serving cheese fondue. Toss heart-smart caution to the wind and enjoy dipping chunks of French bread into a bubbling pot of Gruyère, Ementaler and Appenzeller. Or try La Fondue Chinoise with thinly sliced veal and beef, or the traditional fondue Bourguignon. At this typically Swiss restaurant with an expansive view of the face of Aspen Mountain, youll also find antelope with port and blackberry demi-glaze, sautéed veal scallops in a light lemon sauce, and other traditional fare including apple strudel for dessert. Back in the 70s, Guido used to chase long-hairs from the place; today theyre back with their kids and their Range Rovers when theyre in a nostalgic mood. Theres live guitar music on weekends in season.
