: Don’t go to this North Korean restaurant for the food---which is a blander version of South Korean fare---but for the kitsch factor. Waitresses are dressed either in electric blue flight attendant suits or in sparkling hanbok, the baggy national dress for women, and are more than charming. Some of them sing to diners in the evening. You can order hunks of black beef and the restaurant’s signature dish, cold noodles, as well as the ubiquitous kimchi, which is not as zesty as it could be. Wash it all down with some soju, which, along with the rest of the menu, is overpriced. But, hey, it comes from North Korea. |
