Happy Fish Sushi & Martini Bar Restaurant Review:
Located in Boise’s trendy BoDo (Boise Downtown) district, Happy Fish is sandwiched between the Ha’ Penny Pub and the city’s premier weekly concert venue, The Knitting Factory. A shared patio provides comfortable dining on warm spring and summer nights, and the décor is fresh and light with a cool color palette accenting blonde oak furniture. While the quality of the sushi has risen over the years, what stands out is the martini list featuring 40 sexy concoctions. Imbibe enough of them and you’ll forget you even came for the food. Passable sushi standards include a range of nigiri, temaki, rolled sushi, specialty maki and seaweed-rolled sushi; donburi, a rice bowl dish, is also available. Desserts range from mochi ice cream and Asian pear flambé to lychee sherbet. Stop in early, as this is the pre-party sushi palace for singles hot on the nightlife scene.
