THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Harbour Restaurant Review:
Harbour is aptly named; the nautical theme, potted palms and a sleek, predominantly black and white color scheme at the front lounge are evocative of an island resort spot. This imagery continues in the dining room beyond; ship windows, wood paneling along the walls, banquette seating and a multi-colored Italian glass sculpture hanging from the ceiling give the illusion of a restaurant aboard an ocean liner. The menu is creative and goes one step beyond the ordinary in both its use and combination of ingredients that go into preparing each dish. The pork belly appetizer is rich and succulent, and the addition of watermelon and tamarind give the normally almost too concentrated flavors of the pork a refreshingly light citrus and semi-sweet taste. The wild striped bass prepared with yellow curry and served with shu mai and lop chum is a wonderful blending of Asian ingredients with a touch of spice. The wine list is loaded with plenty of seafood-friendly wines, including some nice selections by the glass.
