Harry's Coffee Shop Restaurant Review:

This charming family-run coffee shop has been an anchor in the La Jolla community since it opened its doors in 1960. It's inspired by the coffee shops and diners of Brooklyn. Regulars come for bagels and lox, eggs Benedict or the tempting pastries and muffins. While most customers order cups of locally roasted coffee, the fresh tangerine juice, espresso shakes and root beer floats are also nice sippers. Breakfast is served all day. For lunch, stacked-high sandwiches like Reubens, juicy burgers or huge salads (Cajun chicken Caesar) are standouts. Dog lovers and owners will appreciate the pooch-friendly policy on the patio. Expect friendly service, warm welcomes and good eats. People-watching is great with the mixed clientele, from the older set to teens, with the occasional celebrity or Chargers player in the mix.
