THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hash House a Go Go Restaurant Review:

A fun romp, this San Diego original exudes a diner-like vibe and a Midwestern “farm” approach to what’s on the plate. That means an American menu, weekend brunch and staggeringly large (to the point of being comical) portions. As its name implies, hash plays a prominent role, with the tongue-singeing chorizo, jalapeño, cheddar and tomato version a standout. Scrambles are good, but the towering sage fried chicken and waffles with hot, sticky maple syrup is what steals the show. Other memorable dishes include the pounded, Iowa-style pork tenderloin sandwich, mounded with onions, pickles and ketchup, and the sausage gravy potpie. But if that’s not your speed, you can get a bowl of Apple Jacks instead. The desserts are simple: gooey bread pudding, cobbler and cheesecake to round out a group-friendly meal.
