: This hip, smart restaurant offers more sushi rolls (American-style, not traditional) than you can shake your chopsticks at. Hatsune is an old kid on the block; it opened more than seven years ago and although it is still going strong, it’s beginning to lose a little of its glow---service standards have slipped and food quality can be varied. Even so, there are lots of delights. Order a plate of crab meat, avocado and cream cheese rolls, and try to stop yourself from eating them all. Also popular is the Japanese burrito: spicy chicken, guacamole and sour cream. There’s a huge saké list, including sharp saké cocktails. An outlet in The Village in downtown Sanlitun is a pre-clubbing favorite. |
