The name High Street on Hudson suggests that this NYC outpost of the Philadelphia restaurant might have a British accent. Not so. It's American all the way. The menu consists of gooey overstuffed breakfast sandwiches in the morning and a great duck meatball sub and grilled cheese at lunchtime. For dinner, offerings get slightly more refined with Long Island duck and sunflower seed risotto, among other creative options. Affordable wines by the bottle and a handful of selections by the glass are available.
