Housed in a historic building and poised literally on top of a hill, this restaurant packs in people when the weather is nice. The walls are all floor-to-ceiling glass, and the stunning panoramic views from the window seats literally have people clamoring for window tables. Don’t clamor. Just be patient; you may have to wait a while for one. On the bright side, the ’Super Well’ in the bar ensures that you won’t swill any cheap liquor while waiting. Bacardi, Cuervo and Dewar’s are the well liquors here. No matter how hectic things are in the bar, the scene in the kitchen is one of pure culinary synergy. The chefs are three brothers; they and the owner/manager have all presided over the restaurant since the day it opened more than 20 years ago. Signature items include Pasta Scaparela and salmon pasta, but the steak, chicken and seafood dishes are reliable.
