Named after the area's first large-scale agricultural settlement, Hock Farm takes advantage of the region's bounty with its farm-to-fork concept. The open dining room is rustic yet sophisticated, with plain pine tables offset by white modern pendant lights. The seasonal menu changes regularly, the dishes refined yet accessible. Starters include oven-blistered carrots and grilled Monterey squid, while mains include pappardelle with pork-cheek ragù, roasted porchetta with braised black-eyed peas and grilled New York steak with asparagus and wild mushrooms. Desserts are equally inviting, and include an apple and cranberry crostata and chocolate candy bar cake. The wine list features dozens of California varietals. A wide variety of local craft beers is also offered.
