![]() : The partners of Munich's historic Hofbräuhaus created an authentic replica in Las Vegas, complete with beers, steins and oompah bands imported from Munich. While encouraging toasts and sing-a-longs, the lively bands perform in the 380-seat beer hall (dining room), where the 45-foot-high ceiling is painted with symbols of the Bavarian lifestyle. German, California and Australian wines are available by the bottle, plus Franz Reh Piesporter Michelsberg Riesling and others by the glass. The extensive menu features starters such as kartoffelpuffer, three crisp and golden brown potato pancakes served with smoked salmon; and Obazter (a Brie specialty) paired with a pretzel, baked with dough flown in from Munich. Riesen fleischpflanzerl is a giant Bavarian-style pork and beef burger on a Kaiser roll. Sausage lovers like the wurstplatte, Vienna-style frankfurters, and pork and chicken sausages with imported sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Bavarian apfelstrudel with vanilla sauce is a popular dessert. Cap it with a Kaffee classic or latte, or an apple schnapps. For children under 13, there are kids’ hot dogs with fries, and noodles with butter sauce and cheese. |
