Honor Society Handcrafted Eatery Restaurant Review:

Justin Brunson, chef and co-owner of Masterpiece Delicatessen and Old Major, has expanded his mini empire with the addition of Honor Society, a fast fine-casual spot in Riverfront Park that encourages patrons to "honor thy belly." To that end, the airy space, decked out with reclaimed woods, community tables and glossy concrete floors, features a mix-and-match menu of healthy, nutrient-rich ingredients. Salads, for example, favor quinoa, seasonal heirloom tomatoes, kale and beets, while entrées, paired with side dishes, include sustainably-fished Scottish salmon, roasted vegetables, grilled chicken, and gluten-free fried chicken crusted in chia seeds. A selection of flatbreads --- made with gluten-free crusts --- arrive topped with everything from foraged mushrooms and shaved asparagus to edamame hummus and power greens. The full-service bar boasts an impressive beer syllabus, along with kegged wines, kombucha, cocktails and creative “mocktails,” all of which are crafted with fresh-squeezed juices and purées.
