THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hops Restaurant Bar & Brewery Restaurant Review:
Its possible to lose this relatively new venue amid the other department stores and chain restaurants at this busy intersection, but persistence is rewarded. In addition to the chance to dine amid the stainless steel brewery machinery visible from your booth, you can tour the on-site microbrewery. A variety of ales and lager-style beers are made on the premises. One of the most popular is the Alligator Ale (appropriate for Florida), mahogany colored ale with a smooth finish. Hops even brews its own root beer. The food is somewhat standard, with a few surprises, including Deep South Catfish (well, this is sort of the Deep South), breaded and pan-fried. Other entrées include steak, pork chops, chicken and pastas. Baby-back ribs are smoked in-house using a five-step cooking process. Jerk Roast Tenderloin is a delicious new addition (pork tenderloin marinated with jerk seasoning and olive oil, roasted and served with a Marsala mushroom sauce).
