Going strong since 1972, the well-known red awning attracts diners who can recite the menu backwards if you ask them. This familiarity is instant feel-good to the folks who depend on the baked potato soup, burgers and salads to be fresh and tasty. The menu has gone global over the years --- there's bruschetta and Thai-inflected chicken wings now among the appetizers, and fish tacos and enchiladas for mains. Sit in a booth or at the bar and eat wings, potato skins or stuffed mushrooms, complemented by a beer. Lighter options include a barbecue salmon salad, veggie club sandwich and the Asian stir-fry. Or indulge in dessert, be it caramel-topped apple pie or a classic brownie sundae.
