Hub 51 Restaurant Review

: While Hub 51 is usually packed to the brim, we can’t say we completely understand its mass appeal, as the food and service strike us as nothing more than average on a good day. Our best guess? Its killer location in the heart of River North and a see-and-be-seen crowd, propelled by the heirs to the Lettuce Entertain You throne, R.J. and Jerrod Melman. If you do happen to find yourself seated amongst the throngs of hungry scenesters, we recommend one of the taco options (choose from chicken, pork, steak, fish or veggie) over blander choices, such as the grilled veggie burger or the knife-and-fork, open-face BLT. Finish things off with Grandma Bea’s chocolate pudding pie with graham cracker crust.
