THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Hudson Grille Restaurant Review:
A large two-story wine-storage unit and an open mezzanine with its own bar characterize this location of Hudson Grille. Like its siblings, it hosts a plethora of flat-screen TVs---some 75 in all---throughout the restaurant. For starters, try the tender milk-marinated calamari, served with a "marinara" sauce that's more like a barbecue sauce. Breaded shrimp with house-made tartar sauce are first-rate, their sweet fresh flavor coming through the light coating. Good chicken fingers come with honey-mustard and smoky barbecue sauces. From the corporate bakery, Hudson Grille's rich multi-layered chocolate cake with a ganache icing is the dessert to target. Our only disappointment to date is the sliders, which are thin and fast-food in style. Coloring materials are provided for the little people, and they have their own menu. The beer list is a fine round-up of bottles and draughts, plus some intriguing combos beyond the usual "Black and Tan."
