![]() : Charles Clark and Grant Cooper’s Midtown hot-spot is named for the resort island off the East Coast of Spain. And Ibiza Food & Wine Bar flaunts the international intrigue of its well-traveled owners. Chef Clark did a stint in Spain, while Cooper lived in Belgium, and with their respective backgrounds as inspiration, they've created exotic yet subtle island drama with a curved wall of French doors, billowy curtains and an open kitchen. Not to be outdone by the décor is the Mediterranean menu. Settle in with a bottle of wine from the extensive list and nibble on some spicy fried oysters while deciding between entrées such as the lamb shank braised for six hours in Spanish mint oil or the thick baseball cut tenderloin with green peppercorn au poivre. Pan-seared pasta and a few select pizzas round out the menu as do nightly sweets, including a peanut butter and milk chocolate torte with whiskey ice cream. |
