THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Joe Avelluto, Jr. took over his father's neighborhood restaurant and put the amore back in the food. Diners can choose from the à la carte menu, which features warm grilled octopus tossed with Corona beans as well as prosciutto-wrapped asparagus finished in the wood-fired oven. One entrée to consider is the signature zuppa di mare, a lively seafood soup. Or go another route entirely by choosing the set tasting menu of five to seven courses, a collaboration between Avelluto, chef Sean Price and the diner. The menu will include an appetizer or two, a small pasta course (perhaps house-made pappardelle with pork guazzetto), a fish course and a meat offering. Dessert typically consists of three or four samplings from pastry chef Ashley Foy Price's sweets du jour.
