THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Iliki Cafe Restaurant Review:
Husband and wife team Christian and Cristal Fuller opened this eclectic dining haven in the suburban Picture Hills Shopping Center and have been winning fans ever since. Cristal describes their food as world cuisine. Peruse the menu and youll see why. Theyve got muhammara dip, a roasted red pepper and walnut spread; soujouk, spicy Armenian beef sausage; and lahme, hummus topped with sautéed beef and onions. For entrées, how about kofte, shish taouk or the lively stuffed eggplant. The Iliki Café does daily fish specials, most recently grilled grouper and poached salmon, pastas and for the carnivores, grilled T-bone steak with garlic mashed sweet potatoes topped with a bordelaise sauce. Cristal makes all the desserts herself, including baklava, vanilla bean crème caramel, flourless chocolate cake with crème fraîche and fresh sorbets. Christian is a bona fide wine geek and stocks the wine bar with finds from around the globe, like a Lebanese Chateau Musar red. Reasonable mark-ups make it easy for diners to sample and experiment.
