India Grill Restaurant Review

: This is a fun, attractive place to enjoy pleasant, reliable Indian food. Housed on the upstairs floor of a vintage Portland home, the restaurant underwent a major update. It's now painted in bright colors and filled with funky d├ęcor. The outdoor deck is lovely on warm, sunny days. An extensive menu features almost every Indian standard, plus offers an inexpensive buffet at lunch. Best bets are the vegetable samosas, pakoras, palak paneer (the paneer, Indian cheese, is homemade), aloo gobi (spiced cauliflower and potatoes), tandoori kebabs, lamb vindaloo, a tasty array of naans and parathas, and a perky mint chutney. Those who like their Indian food with extra heat must remember to tell the server to crank up the fire level. For beverages, consider a refreshing mango lassi or a robust imported Indian beer.
