THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED India Palace Restaurant Review:
India Palace is our favorite spot for fragrant delicacies of the Asian sub-continent. The menu focuses on the cuisine of Northern India, with a few dishes hailing from the South (mainly the seafood portion). The choices are many, starting with bread (fourteen different types including naan, poori, roti, kulcha and paratha). We love the appetizer, paneer pakora---flaky garbanzo pastry stuffed with homemade cheese, mint and spices and deep-fried. The tandoori dishes are done well, but we go straight for the dishes with exotic sauces. Try the chicken pasanda, a mixture of almonds, cashews, cream, coconut and raisins that has a sweet, nutty flavor. For heat, order the lamb vindaloo, made in a tangy red sauce with potatoes. Desserts are of the tropical fruit and rice pudding bent---we like anything made with the homemade mango ice cream. It's not easy to find food of this caliber, so don't miss the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet---one of the best deals in town.
