Island Oyster, New York, NY

Island Oyster Restaurant Review

: From the team behind Grand Banks comes this beer garden-like spot on Governors Island with great views of the Lower Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor. To get there, you’ll need to take a five-minute ferry from the Battery Maritime Building in Manhattan (daily) or Pier 6 in Brooklyn (weekends only). Island Oyster presents a concise list of wines, local brews, spritzers and tropical cocktails, plus oysters and food offerings like lobster rolls, fish tacos and burgers. Note that Island Oyster is open only during the summer season.
