THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Island Time Grill Restaurant Review:
The décor is straight from Miami, by way of Paris. The dining area features white shutters, canopies and African mahogany hardwood floors, and the bar showcases a blue-green sand-filled top while a seven-foot screen nearby projects a video of the ocean lapping at a sandy beach. The centerpiece is a three-foot-high clock, straight from a train depot in Paris, sans hands. (Presumably, time stands still here as well as in Hawaii.) The menu selections are somewhat limited and for the most part are what you would expect. One surprise is pork Dijonaise (pork tenderloin slices, onion and Dijonaise sauce). Chicken, veal and seafood (salmon, grouper, mahi mahi) are sprinkled about. There's also rack of lamb and filet mignon----menu standards. There's even a tilapia entrée: a sautéed filet served with artichokes, black olives, capers and tomatoes. Desserts are a little more creative, and there are occasional specials of the day.
