Jillian's has a single seating in the evening and provides live entertainment in the dining room. The owners' desire to make this a cool supper club is achieved complete with low lighting and a dance floor in a room surrounded by glass and a water view of a nearby lake. Service is leisurely-and functions to prolong the pleasant experience. The food serves to do that, too. Appetizers include venison tenderloin crusted with peppercorn melange; seared scallops with black bean orange vinaigrette; and escargot au vin rouge (sautéed with shallots and wine, served in a pastry puff). The entrées include a range of items, from crab-crusted grouper or seared scallops to sautéed veal medallions or filet of ostrich. The dessert menu features the standard tiramisu and an apple crisp pie, but the most tasty choice is the flourless chocolate torte.
