The combo of live music, a casual ambience and barbecue is hard to beat at this Navy Pier staple. And now the huge menu is trans-fat free---a surprise given the lineup includes selections like Buffalo wings and popcorn shrimp. Plenty of dishes are Cajun-tinged, so look for Bayou shrimp pasta in butter sauce, shrimp and sausage gumbo, jambalaya and etouffée. Still, barbecue is the main draw; and while the ribs are good, we'd have a hard time calling them the best in the city. However, desserts---with an emphasis on fruit cobbler---are quite satisfying.
