JR's has been satisfying Sacramento's slow-cooked Southern cravings for more than a quarter century. Beef brisket, pork shoulder, chicken and ribs are mesquite smoked for up to 18 hours then slathered in homemade barbecue sauce. Get your favorite paired with cowboy beans, chili, cornbread or mac ‘n’ cheese, or have it stuffed in a bun or burrito.
