Katy Trail Ice House Restaurant Review:

Dallasites love the Austin vibe, and Katy Trail Ice House completely embodies it. Boasting a huge beer garden in the heart of Dallas’s Uptown district, the restaurant is located on the Katy Trail --- an outdoor utopia that results in plenty of people watching. Colorful painted metal chairs, long wooden communal tables and a spacious patio with umbrellas and lights hanging from the many trees give this sports bar hangout lots of personality. The building, reminiscent of a large barn, has vast windows that peer onto the garden. The 50-foot-long interior bar is usually packed with folks of all ages, and big-screen televisions are scattered around the space. There are more than 50 beers on tap with a variety of regional, international and local brews. The food menu is of the sports bar variety with burgers, salads, tacos and even a venison chili. The "Man vs Food" burger comes with double meat, double cheese, double jalapeños and double chili. Texas barbecue is served Thursday through Sunday.
