You can't miss Kelsey's neon yellow and green paint job as you drive into the heart of Magazine’s Street’s antique and boutique row. Chef-owner Daniel Benn extended the makeover indoors, through the dining room covered in colorful abstract art and all the way into the kitchen. His cooking incorporates both traditional Creole and international flavors, with dishes such as mirliton gratin and rosemary-crusted rack of lamb with pomegranate molasses. The more gourmet-sounding main courses and fancier desserts are shaky---stick to simple New Orleans preparations like grilled Gulf fish, char-grilled oysters and bread pudding. On especially busy nights the rear bar performs double duty for diners. The staff is versed in the much-improved wine selection.
