![]() Killer Poboys Restaurant Review: Although you might wonder if a po’ boy spot that occupies the small back portion of a local bar is worth your attention, wonder no more. Killer Poboys lives up to its ambitious moniker. This may be the only restaurant in town with a five-item menu, but it’s jumping. That may have a lot to do with the glazed pork belly po’ boy with rum and ginger cane syrup. Could it get any more Southern than that? Seared shrimp is a nice alternative to the usual fried variety, and the meatloaf with barbecue sauce is full flavored and quite filling. You can get a plain grilled cheese, but be adventurous and try the roasted sweet potato po’ boy with black-eyed peas and pecan spread. Be sure to ask about the specials. Your best bet is to order and carry out because the place is short on ambience. |
