Kim Son Restaurant Review:

Located on the fringe of downtown, Kim Son has been drawing fans of authentic Vietnamese cuisine for years, thanks to Mama La’s family recipes. Lunchtime can be particularly crowded with office workers trickling in for the reasonably priced dishes like the chicken and shrimp pad thai. Dinner brings out the big guns --- everything from the duck pot simmered with tofu and black mushrooms to the pricey ca nuong mo hanh, a whole grilled fish. The menu is so extensive that it’s doubtful even the regulars have sampled it all, but the spring rolls are a must, and the kitchen will even do a vegetarian version upon request.
