Two French brothers supply the crusty breads, cracker-like pizzas and chocolate croissants for this sit-down branch of their local La Boulangerie bakery chain (take-out locations are at 4526 Magazine St. and 3143 Ponce de Leon St.). The bi-level space is airy and bright, with small café tables on the ground floor and comfortable sofas and chairs in a narrow loft. Baristas pull proper espressos, and the drip coffee is fine. Simple salads and baguette sandwiches slathered with European butter tend to disappear by early afternoon.
