La Bruschetta Restaurant Review:

La Bruschetta has long been one of the more serious places to dine in or around Westwood Village, and its relaxed atmosphere is a refreshing contrast to the bustling trattorias, sushi bars and kebab houses in the neighborhood. The attractive dining room can be romantic, yet it also suits the needs of businesspersons, and is an ideal restaurant for UCLA students to recommend to visiting relatives. In addition to the usual carpaccios and Caesar salads, antipasti selections include a wild mushroom timbale with molten Fontina, steamed clams in tomato broth, and intriguing veal loin in tuna sauce. Pasta dishes range from hearty (lasagna alla Bolognese) to more delicate (linguine with shellfish in a light tomato sauce), and good gnocchi is served, too. Deftly prepared classic northern Italian entrées, relatively reasonably priced, include veal chop Milanese and osso buco. For dessert, try the tiramisu or the lemon-ricotta cheesecake. The staff is attentive, and the wine list is among the best in the neighborhood. La Bruschetta hasn’t changed much over its 25 years, and for that we’re happy.
