La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant: La Cave Wine & Food Hideaway is the second of three concepts developed by Michael and Jenna Morton of Las Vegas' Morton Group. Nestled within the Wynn Las Vegas, the restaurant has design elements that are intended to make you feel like you're dining in an exclusive wine cellar, including a glass entryway, rich wood panels and oak flooring.

About the food: The modern American small plates menu is good for sharing. Options range from Moroccan chicken skewers to salmon sashimi tostada to beef filet crostini with blue cheese and truffle cream. There are special menus with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan selections. Dessert offerings are highlighted by the favorite s'mores flatbread, and La Cave features a deluxe butler-style brunch every Saturday and Sunday overlooking the Wynn pool and grounds.

About the drinks: The 250-bottles-strong wine list is presented in a rustic leather-bound menu, and 50 wines are available by the glass, some of which are served in an Enomatic dispensing system for two-, four- or six-ounce pours directly from the bottle. An extensive craft beer list with fine brews from around the globe is enhanced by more than a dozen draft handles and the locally made Joseph James Baby J's German Chocolate Cake Stout.
