Italian to the core and only one long dining room big, this friendly and comfortable ristorante is one we recommend for authentic Italian fare. There is a pleasant intimacy among diners that tends to spark conversation, and the grilled vegetables somehow taste better here than elsewhere in the city. Pasta is always al dente and risotto creations are, well, ravishing. House-made ravioli stands out, too, and might be stuffed with artichoke or lobster. We like the option to mix-and-match a dizzying array of pastas and sauces, like pappardelle with mushroom sauce or spinach gnocchi draped in white or red clam sauce.
