THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Jonquille Restaurant Review:
So new that their formal dining room isnt even open, this Main Line spot is already in demand. The trendier crowd is drawn first by the exterior with graceful Ionic columns and blue mosaic tiling. They are not disappointed when they enter the front bistro and see the marble floors and bar, and the rose quartz hanging fixtures and brass accents. They are even more pleased by the French-Asian menu. Chef Michael Kantor, formerly of Le Bec Fin, does crabmeat spring rolls for appetizers, or mushroom and spinach cannelloni. Some dishes are purely classic, as the quail with root vegetables, or have an Asian spin, like red snapper with seafood dumplings and bok choy. Pastry chef Mary Ann Cobaugh tempts us with honey-lavender crème brûlée, molded jasmine rice pudding with a soft chocolate center, or chocolate almond gateau.
