THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Table/La Table du Chef Restaurant Review:

Pascal Rigo has done it again, this time in Presidio Heights. The man behind Chez Nous, Le Petit Robert, Boulange de Polk and Galette has opened his fanciest foray into the restaurant world to date. Until recently, the casual front dining room and formal back dining room had been separated into two restaurants know as La Table and La Table du Chef, each with its own distinct menu. Now, the menus have been joined, allowing one wide-ranging menu throughout the restaurant. The bistro-style dishes like cauliflower soup, mussels with fennel and saffron, and grilled Niman Ranch rib-eye with shallot marmalade share the page with elegant offerings like salad of oxtail, foie gras and green apples or seared John Dory with cipollini, yellow, and pearl onions. Try the wedge of warm apple and huckleberry tart served with cream or the crème caramel grand mere and you will leave smiling. Both dining rooms are lovingly cared for by an accommodating staff and skilled kitchen crew headed by chef Marc Rasic. The sidewalk-side front room suggests easy lunches and family dinners. The beautiful back dining room, with its hand-painted mural of water lilies, is nestled in the back accessed by its own long patio.
