La Teresita Restaurant Review:

Here's one of the most authentic Cuban restaurants outside of Tampa's Spanish-Cuban Ybor City, and while the décor and atmosphere are strictly utilitarian, this is a draw with local businesspeople as well as those who have discovered La Teresita's authentic menus. The weekend breakfasts are especially popular, although basic, and the menu offers items bilingually. There are specials each day of the week, but the emphasis is on pork entrées, especially marsitas de puerco---pork chunks marinated Cuban-style, fried with onions. The Cuban sandwiches are hot and pressed, just as they should be. You can also find the perennial Cuban standard of chicken and yellow rice, or arroz con pollo. The house salad is worth trying---lettuce, tomato, green olives, onions and house dressing. There's still seating at the original lunch counter for those on the go.
