THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Tesso Tana Restaurant Review:
Proximity to city concert halls make chef Ed Rogers Italian restaurant popular with the symphony and opera set, but geography isn't the only allure. Connected by a long, attractive bar, the cellar dining rooms---one romantic in dark green with trailing ivy stenciled on the walls and the other a bright, whitewashed garden room---invite relaxation. Rogers' cooking, while not always consistent, has flair, and the plates are fragrant and pretty. Try the crab-stuffed artichoke hearts, simple and flavorful beneath a lemony sauce. And don't miss the saltimbocca, its tender veal paillards will be layered with mozzarella and prosciutto and draped over a bed of just wilted spinach. If you're in the mood for a feast, start with the Gorgonzola bread, a garlicky loaf smothered in melted cheese.
