THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Vigna Ristorante Restaurant Review:
Don't be misled by the store-front-type exterior. Twinkling lights help give the place a romantic feeling, especially at night, and the intimate interior encourages a serene dining experience. The lights aren't the only thing that will breed serenity: La Vigna's rustic Italian cuisine puts an emphasis on fresh, country cooking. The daily fish is purchased from the fish monger next door and blackboard specials change daily. The zuppa di pece, an Italian bouillabaisse of fresh fish, mussels, shrimp, scallops and calamari in a tomato-based broth with fresh basil and parsley, is outstanding. The orecchiette rustiche also deserves sampling: The ear-shaped pasta is toasted with crumbled fennel sausage, broccoli, rabe and sun-dried tomatoes.
