When LaGuardia’s Italian Deli makes the claim of “homemade since 1912,” it’s not referring to the deli itself, but something much more important --- the family recipes that owner Lou LaGuardia is using for his Italian dishes. There’s nothing fancy at this still-evolving little deli, but you’ll find hearty sandwiches (our favorite is the Uncle Tony’s made with house-made sausage) and salads, freshly baked sweets, draft beers and both local and Italian wines. During the Thursday through Saturday happy hour, the menu expands to include noshes like calzones, wings and meatball sliders. LaGuardia’s is located right at the Paso Robles Airport, so grab a seat outside and enjoy the runway views.
