Located in the southern end of Corona Del Mar, LANDMARK has undergone a noticeable transformation. While the restaurant is still an after-hours hangout featuring weekend DJs and a late-night bottle service, its interior has lighter tones and colorful accents within the main dining space. The biggest change can be found in the cuisine, where the traditional steakhouse menu has been jettisoned in favor of a contemporary milieu highlighting seasonal and sustainable. Upscale comfort food is well represented in small plates such as mac ‘n’ cheese croquettes, lamb confit tacos, and chicken and waffles. Likewise, the kitchen's adherence to the farm-to-table concept is highlighted within the larger, heartier dishes, like braised short ribs with caramelized fennel hash and braised greens, or miso black cod paired with shrimp dumplings. Fans of potent potables should note that the wine list is full of California and French varietals, and the bar that greets patrons at the entrance produces a bevy of cocktails.
